You Mainers have good taste.

I asked you to give me a list of "under-the-radar" restaurants, and you delivered mightily. Not only did you give me 30 incredible places to eat, but also chose one that's been nationally recognized. Check this out.

The culinary site LoveFood published a list that included the best soul food in every state. The website recommended one of the best "under-the-radar" joints, Go See Tyce BBQ. The Saco shop has been slinging the delish Jamaican dishes since opening a few years back.

Go See Tyce BBQ is a step right into Jamaica with its island classics. Dishes like jerk chicken, BBQ pork, meat patties, and rice and peas (beans) fill up the menu. Plus, there are a ton of sides to choose from, including candied yams, mac and cheese, pickled veggies, and plantains.

Go See Tyce is located right on Route 1 in Saco. It's an ideal location for those just getting out of a theme park, coming off the beach, or making the trek home from work. There's nothing like a giant portion of homemade, fresh Jamaican BBQ waiting for you to devour when you are finishing up the day. If you can't wait that long, Tyce even has some space to eat in.

Here is a little from LoveFood on why they chose Go See Tyce as Maine's number one soul food spot.

This small spot is loved for both its food and the warm welcome it gives customers. Tyce's BBQ serves a Jamaican-influenced menu that provides a dose of soul food at its best...

I'm glad the service was mentioned, because it's outstanding. Tyce herself loves to chat, explain the menu, crack some jokes, and just enjoy a conversation. You can tell she absolutely loves what she does, and wears her heart right on her sleeve.

Go See Tyce BBQ has become a destination. And as LoveFood says, it's the destination for the best soul food in Maine.

Congrats to Go See Tyce on this national recognition. And congrats to the listeners for their impeccable selections of Maine's "under-the-radar" joints. I'm sure many more deserve attention like this.
