Ms. Samuel's father taught her how to fish for lobster and now the 24 year-old has gained national recognition.

Yesterday morning as the nationally syndicated show Good Morning America was featuring Maine within it's "50 States" series on WVII TV channel 7 here in Bangor, viewers across the country got an eyeful of what Sadie Samuels does every day.  We're amazed that reporter Will Reeve and the TV crew were able to keep up with her.

Ms. Samuels fishes out of Rockport Harbor aboard her boat Must Be Nice, and has been doing so since she was a very young.

The video crew from Good Morning America met Sadie Samuels and her stern man Cory  early this past Wednesday morning in Rockport before setting out into Penobscot Bay to show Reeve how it's done, even though it wouldn't be for what is normally an 8 hour workday.

After hauling and then setting a few traps, Reeve, who was shown live on the show Thursday morning from West Quoddy Lighthouse in Lubec, made mention of how hard of a job lobster fishing really is.

Following the video shoot on Wednesday, Ms. Samuels treated the TV crew to lobster rolls served up from her very own food truck in Belfast Harbor, named Must Be Nice.

Sadie Samuels says she gets a kick out of when people discover that she's a female lobster fisherman and the captain of her own boat, and freely admits that she "loves it so much" that she'd do it for free.

Ms. Samuels told Good Morning America that she has the best office in the entire world.
