Goodfire Brewing & Mr. Tuna Teaming Up To Open New Restaurant/Brewhouse in Freeport, Maine
Just a couple months after Mast Landing Brewing Company announced their plans to open a sprawling new restaurant and taproom in Freeport, another popular brewery is planning on doing something similar. According to Portland Food Map, Goodfire Brewing is teaming up with Mr. Tuna to open a new restaurant and brewhouse in Freeport as well.
Goodfire Brewing, which currently operates in Portland at 219 Anderson Street, plans on bringing a new tasting room to Freeport with indoor and outdoor seating. Goodfire plans to serve their best-sellers from their Portland taproom but will also have special small batch beer unique to their Freeport location.
Mr. Tuna, which currently resides in the Portland Public Market as well as operating a mobile sushi bar, plans on bringing their delicious sushi hand rolls to Freeport. Mr. Tuna will also branch out to include other Japanese-style items on their Freeport menu, including Ramen bowls.
The new restaurant/tasting room will be located at 117 U.S. Route 1 in the building that formerly housed El Jefe Taco Bar. As with most projects of this size, time will be needed to fit the property to Goodfire and Mr. Tuna's needs. No timetable was given on when the new brewhouse and izakaya would be open.
