Well, of course, I just put my plow away! That's always a sure sign that we are going to get one more round of snow in Maine. Yup, there may be a snowstorm brewing. The temps look to be in the mid-30's so maybe more chilly rain than snow, but we may see some in the mountains. Here's the map from our weather hero at WGME-13, Professor Charlie Lopresti:

It doesn't look like we will get walloped, but still...it's mid-April for crying out loud. Actually, snowstorms in April are not too out of the ordinary. Remember the snowstorm we got just last April? Here were the snow totals from that one:

  • NWS Office in Gray: 6.8 in
  • Pownal: 6.8 in
  • Freeport: 6.5 in
  • Cumberland: 6.0 in
  • New Gloucester: 5.8 in
  • Bridgton: 5.5 in
  • Windham: 4.1 in
  • Standish: 4.0 in
  • Westbrook: 4.0 in
  • Portland: 3.6 in

Last year's snowstorm gets nowhere near the all-time April snowstorms in Portland
