Pittsburgh Penguin and two-time Stanley Cup Champ Brian Dumoulin is coming home to Maine on August 25th to help raise money for Westbrook Skating Rink in Biddeford! You can skate with Brian and help preserve a classic outdoor winter venue all at the same time.

This event will be held at the Biddeford Ice Arena.

If you grew up in the Biddeford/Saco area, Westbrook Stating Rink was THE go to place for kids and families during the winter time. It was home to pick-up hockey games, budding figure skaters, and endless hours of fun.

It was where Biddeford learned to love life on the ice.

The rink was were local Hockey Champion Brian Dumoulin of the Pittsburgh Penguins dreamt of winning the Stanley Cup. Brian and his school buddies would skate for hours, honing their edge and picking up skills that would later serve them as competitive hockey players. The West Brook Rink was home to Brian’s first win: His mates, including the Maine Mariner’s Trevor Fleurent, crafted a homemade Stanley Cup that is now a cherished Dumoulin-family keepsake.

The West Brook Rink is almost 100 years-old and needs serious care and upkeep. This cherished community space is near-and-dear to so many families on the Seacoast.

Brian and his support team want YOU to join them to raise funds to “Save the West Brook Skating Rink” on August 25, 2018 at the Biddeford Ice Arena. Come “Skate with Brian Dumoulin” and raise funds to repair the rink for generations to come.
