Ice Slides, Fairy Houses, and More Await You at the Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH
The gorgeous Lincoln, New Hampshire Ice Castles are a must-visit and favorite winter destination for New Englanders. This place is nothing short of magical and romantic, and is reminiscent of scenes straight out of 'Frozen'. It truly feels like you're in Elsa's ice castle.
The Castles continue to sell out and draw in crowds from all over since their 2022 opening in January, and you can see why.
This place is straight out of a fairytale, and one of only five locations of its kind in the whole country. The others are located in New York, Minnesota, Utah, and Wisconsin.
Even though they are still beautiful during the day, seeing the Castles at night under the moon and stars is a one-of-a-kind experience, thanks in part to the colorful LED lights illuminating the place.
But did you know that the site of the Ice Castles is home to more than these majestic, shimmering towers of ice?
In the midst of all the paths and tunnels is a slide made entirely of ice. Up to two people can slide down at a time, and mats are provided.
The views in line aren't bad, either.
The slide may not be steep, but the ice compensates for that by making the ride faster than you'd expect.
Here was my trip down the slide, and it was 100% worth the wait.
In addition to the slide, guests can also go tubing...
...and take a magical woods walk. At night, an assortment of light displays add a soft glow to your path, including these hanging fixtures...
...and these adorable fairy houses.
Visitors can also enjoy pastries and warm refreshments, and embark on a horse-drawn carriage ride through the grounds (that trip does cost an extra $20 per person).
This is a one-of-a-kind experience not to be missed, so be sure to get your tickets today before the Ice Castles close for the season at the end of the month.
