Is It a Mainah’ Thing To Not Replace Electronics That Are Beyond Destroyed?!

This is our demolished iPad. It has a huge crack running diagonally across it, crushed glass on a different edge and yet another edge being held together by blue painter's tape. We still use it! Am I being a frugal New Englander or a stubborn, crusty old Mainah'?!
