We've been so happy (and spoiled) since Two Maine Guys moved into the former Jack Sullivans on Bridge Street in Augusta. Two Maine Guys has quickly become a staple of the Augusta Downtown and its wicked-diverse food options.

If you remember, over the summertime, the restaurant, which was operating out of the food truck in their parking lot, had to discontinue their world-famous hand-cut fries. Much to the dismay of customers, they really had no choice.

Over the summer, the restaurant explained that the weather was way too hot to have people laboring over giant bags of potatoes and trying to prep the amount of hand-cut fries that they needed for an average day. It was just too hot and too much work.

Fast-forward to January 2026 and we just got word that they are bringing this epic menu item back on Thursday.

Two Maine Guys said on a recent Facebook post in part,

We heard you. And we’re bringing them BACK. Thursday January 22nd at dinner will the first time serving the hand cut Fries in 2026. Hand-cut. Seasoned. House-made.
We’re officially switching back to our hand-cut French fries, made fresh from local Green Thumb potatoes — the way fries were always meant to be. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, tossed in our signature seasoning and cooked fresh in-house. No shortcuts. No freezer bags. Just real Maine potatoes and a whole lot of love.
If you’ve been craving that classic TMG fry… now’s the time. Come grab a plate and taste the difference.
