This next sighting in the sky is going to be one for the books and we want to make sure you have the best seat at the best time!

If you are a skywatcher and want to witness the next Total Lunar Eclipse Blood Moon, this Tuesday March 3rd, 2026, you will want to set your alarm early in the morning.

This eclipse is promising to be quiet a show, according to WMTW.

This one will be slightly time sensitive so, you’ll have to be focused on the the time.

As per the article, as the moon passes through the Earth’s shadow, it will start to move through multiple phases and each of those phases will have it’s own look and visibility, depending on where you live in the United States.

The first phase is the penumbral, next is the partial and both will be fully visible and have their own look.

When Will The Next Lunar Eclipse Reach Totality?

Totality, which is the dramatic moment when the moon can glow red, happens at precisely 6:04 am Eastern Time, according to the report as per NASA.

But here in Maine, and along most of the East Coast, the moon will set right as totality peaks. Which means, your best viewing is just before sunrise, while the moon is still floating above the horizon

And the farther west you go, the longer you’ll be able to see the full eclipse before the moon sets. But if you are in search for the best experience, you must choose a spot with a clear western horizon and minimal light pollution, ideally somewhere rural, away from city lights.

And with this eclipse, even if you won't catch the early phases, it’s still an extremely rare celestial event worth waking up for!
