Sweet Singing Dog Luna Still Waiting for Forever Home After Over 100 Days in a Maine Shelter
Since January 11, 2024, a 7-year-old coonhound/mix has patiently been waiting at the Kennebec Valley Humane Society for her forever family to pick her up and take her home.
That means for over 100 days, this sweet dog has been at the Maine shelter and ready to go. That seems too long, right?
Are you that person sweet Luna is looking for? Are you ready to break the lengthy holdup?
Maybe looking at a few pictures of her might sway you:
Based on the Kennebec Valley Humane Society's bio for her, she's a runner and loves to interact with other dogs and even kids.
She has lived with another dog before, but "she can be dog selective," the shelter states. That said, she's willing to meet any future pup siblings!
Luna also loves to bay and howl loudly like she's a singing superstar (a future Taylor Swift collab?). And while she's on the older side, she's not just going to lounge about. She is active.
The shelter also says she loves to counter surf for left-out food (sneaky dog!) and is "full of funny antics sure to keep you on your toes," so someone willing to work on some of these behaviors is important.
But ultimately, she's a loveable dog, or as Kennebec Valley Humane Society puts it: "sweet, slobbery, [and] obnoxiously cute."
You up for it? You ready to help Luna find her forever home? You can certainly go to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society to see if you and your family are a fit.
