Have you ever seen a rabbit riding a motorcycle? Me neither, until recently.

I was riding in the car with my son who has his learner's permit, and we were on our way out to dinner. We were stopped at the traffic light on Riverside Street at Exit 48 onto the Maine Turnpike when we all glanced over to the leftmost lane and I asked "Is that a rabbit?" The response from my son Jake and my girlfriend Michele was "Yes."

I wasn't quite sure what to make of this, so I did what several other people stopped at the light did, and took a picture of the motorcycle riding rabbit. I was in the passenger seat being the co-pilot and instructor as my son drove, so these pictures were not taken by me behind the wheel. I just wanted to clear that up before I get blasted in the comments.

That traffic light can be a long one sometimes, so I was able to get three shots, but they're all pretty much the same. I was hoping he'd look around so that I could see what the front of his head looked like.

I did a little digging and found out that these are bunny covers for your motorcycle helmet, and are the new rage in motorcycle gear. It's so much of a rage that the website MotoLoot is completely sold out of them. They do have a photo of what the front looks like.

So if you happen to see a rabbit riding a motorcycle, it's a real thing. So are furries, but that's a whole different discussion.
