Maine and New Hampshire have their fair share of both local coffee shop franchises and national chains, but Ziggi's Coffee is becoming a big player in the coffee business.

According to QSR Magazine, Ziggi’s Coffee was founded in 2004 in Longmont, Colorado, by a couple in their early 20s who dropped out of college to pursue a dream of opening and franchising a coffee shop. Slowly but surely, they've grown over the past 20 years, and as of June 2023, they now have 71 franchise locations, and are hoping to reach a milestone of 100 with plans to open another 50 stores within a year.

Their first store in New England opened in January in Meredith, New Hampshire.

Their second store in Saco, Maine, on the corner of Waterfall Drive and Route 1 near Aquaboggan Water Park, is now open.

Ziggi's has an extensive menu of drinks including, of course, coffee. But they also have chai, teas, fruit smoothies, Italian sodas, Fresherz, and energy infusions using their own brand of energy drink.

There's a drive-thru window and a walk-up window. Ziggi’s Coffee also serves breakfast sandwiches, burritos, paninis, breads, cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies, and cake pops.

Ziggi's Coffee in Saco is now open, but is celebrating its grand opening on March 2 by serving customers a free 16-ounce beverage from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No purchase necessary.

But there's no need to wait until Free Beverage Day on March 2. You can check out Ziggi's now. The Saco location is open Monday through Friday, 5 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 6 AM to 7 PM.
