Portland, Maine, Restaurant to Open New Location at Rock Row in Westbrook

If you haven't made a recent visit to the Rock Row development in Westbrook, you've missed a lot going. Behind Market Basket and adjacent to Cowbell, the outdoor gathering space known as Quarryside has hosted food trucks, live music, and more all summer long.

But if you venture even further into the Rock Row development, you'll see that major strides have been made in building up Rock Row's medical campus. The medical campus will be a cornerstone for the development, anchored by New England Cancer Specialists. There will also be an additional location for the Dempsey Center as well.

So while the new building is being fitted and the final touches put on the parking garage, there's another new detail that has been released about the medical campus: it will have a restaurant.

According to Portland Food Map, it will be a second location for the popular Portland spot known as LB Kitchen. Many of the favorites that have made LB Kitchen popular will be featured at the small cafe in Westbrook as prepackaged offerings, but there will also be some new offerings as well.

Those menu items will be inspired by the nutritional recommendations from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. LB Kitchen hopes to help nourish patients at the cancer center, as well as the staff, friends, and family that are there as well.

The Rock Row LB Kitchen will also feature a coffee and espresso bar to keep everyone wide awake and caffeinated. LB Kitchen Westbrook expects to be open in January 2025.
