Kiwanis Beach In Standish Won’t Reopen This Summer

We are sad to hear the news that Kiwanis Beach on Watchic Lake in Standish, Maine won't be a place for fun in the sun this summer.

This is a spot that for many, many years has been loved by countless families in the area.

It is a beautiful private beach that was always an affordable choice for the day at just a few bucks per person.

Last month they put up a message on their Facebook page reminders folks not to go on to the private property that was also hopeful that they would be able to announce reopening plans soon.

Today they posted the details of their difficult decision to remain "closed for the season of 2020."

We wish the crew at Kiwanis Beach nothing but the best during this challenging time. We will miss you this year and we'll be sure to come and visit next summer.
