In the age of social distancing, planning a birthday party for your kids is out of the question. So, what's a parent to do to make the day extra special and memorable? Elisabeth Bateman from South Berwick accepted the challenge for her four-year-old son, Colin, whose birthday was on Wednesday, May 6th. She contacted her local police department and asked if they could drive by her house, because Colin loves police and emergency vehicles. One phone call is all it took.

The South Berwick Police Department sprung into action. Three police cars and an ambulance formed a caravan and drove by with their sirens blaring, while Elisabeth and Colin stood outside. One police officer even sang "happy birthday" from his vehicle, as you can hear in the video below. Elisabeth told us that Colin kept smiling and saying "yay" and "wow."

It was a special day, indeed. Elisabeth wants everyone to know that there is still goodness in the world.
