Maine Drug Trafficker Who Calls Himself ‘Hillbilly’ Makes Identification Easy with Name Tattoo
Word to the wise: if you're ever intending to break the law, you may want to forgo that giant tattoo of your last name on your back.
A Monmouth man who calls himself "Hillbilly" apparently didn't get the memo and was arrested by police following an illegal drug transaction in Augusta last summer, according to the Portland Press Herald. Gerard Boynton, whose last name was conveniently tattooed on his back, showed up shirtless to the scene of the crime and made it too easy for authorities to search his name in the Kennebec County Jail records.
Boynton was sentenced to three years in prison for unlawful drug trafficking involving heroine and cocaine base on Tuesday, the Press Herald reports.
Moral of the story is: stay on the straight and narrow if your body bears your last name. And if you just can't? At least wear a shirt.
