Maine EMS Locations Scheduling COVID Vaccinations
Maine EMS is allowing Mainers to not only sign up for the COVID-19 vaccination, but you can also pick the date/time and location that works for you, AND you can register now even if you are not age-eligible but will be by the date of your appointment.
The website lets you look around and see what works for you. For example, I have decided to get the vaccination. I have signed up through the appointment portable from Maine EMS; I picked my time, location, and even knew which of the vaccine types I will be getting.
This is a great idea. Maine is a big place, and this is excellent; we have vaccination locations set up in our larger communities, and more pharmacies are coming on-line as sites. There is ALOT of rural Maine that is not close to any of that. Our women and men who make Maine's Emergency Medical Services providers fill in that gap and make the vaccination even more available to more people.
By mid-April, ALL Maine adults will be able to receive the vaccination. This is just one other option to be in control of your situation, and if you have things you need to schedule around something like getting a COVID-19 vaccination, this might be an option for you.
The MEMS COVID-19 Vaccination Scheduling website is not flashy by any means but it does the job and from what was reported from WABI it will be moved over Maine's overall registration website but for now, you can check this out and see if it works for you too.
