Golf season is officially here. The best time of year has arrived—when we step outside, feel that fresh air, and know it’s time to get back out on the course.

While Maine’s public and private courses are rushing to get starved golfers outside, another industry is ramping up as well.

I've always had a soft spot for mini golf. It's such a fun activity and brings back memories of many great rounds with family and friends. I remember playing a ton as a kid, especially at Westerly Winds (RIP) in Westbrook, Pirate's Cove in Old Orchard Beach, and Steamboat Landing in Naples.

Sadly, I haven’t played as much in recent years. But I’m hoping to change that this summer. My goal is to hit at least three or four new courses—it seems like the perfect motivation to get back out on the greens. While searching for new places to play, I ended up doing a deep dive across the whole state.
