Mainers, Don't Flush Your Dental Floss

According to News Center Maine, the Greater Augusta Utility District is sending out a message asking residents to NOT flush dental floss down the toilet.

Kudos for your excellent oral hygiene, but your floss, which might consider to be harmless, is not biodegradable and it tangles up and causes problems for sewage treatment pumps and the pipes and plumbing in your home.
