Celebrating 90 years of regional theatre in the Seacoast at the Ogunquit Playhouse is a milestone for generations new and old discovering this beautiful theater.

The 2022 season premiered with the Tony award-winning musical The Cher Show, and now, their blockbuster season is continuing, and it's time for The Nutty Professor to take center stage

The show was written by Rupert Holmes, the same guy who wrote Escape: The Pina Colada Song.  How fun is that? And of course, The Nutty Professor is just as fun and humorous.

The final score is by none other than Marvin Hamlisch, who is an EGOT.  If you're not familiar with that astounding and rare honor, it means that Marvin has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony in his career.

After Nutty Professor, get ready for the world premiere of the brand new musical Mr. Holland's Opus, which opens on August 12.  The movie was so powerful and beautiful, and I can only imagine how sensational it will be when the story is brought to life onstage.

Lastly, get ready for The Carole King Musical, which tells the inspiring true story of Carole King’s remarkable rise to stardom as one of the most successful solo acts in music history.

The longevity of the Ogunquit Playhouse definitely demonstrates the staying power and enormous importance that the arts play in society. This 2022 season is no exception, as it's become a renowned destination for regional theatre.

This 2022 season is described by Broadway World as a "knockout."  Click the links to each musical to buy tickets.
