We found this on the MDOT Facebook page. It's a really cool graphic of MDOT's snow and ice control dealing with Winter Storms. You know the crews will be out there in the next few days dealing with this massive Nor'easter. The numbers are pretty staggering:

  • 400 Snowplows covering 8300 miles of road
  • EACH snowplow costs $250,000
  • Each winter uses 122,000 TONS of sale and 16,00 tons of sand
  • Over 1000 drivers and 48 maintenance crews

Thanks, MDOT and stay safe during this next storm! A reminder to the rest of us, to stay 4 car lengths back from the snowplows.
