The Most Expensive Maine Craigslist Home Is Gorgeous But Not in Maine

Sometimes it's fun to sort Maine's Craigslist real estate by most expensive to creep on exorbitantly priced coastal vacation homes.

In doing so, I came across this gorgeous 40-acre property going for nearly 4 million dollars. On the crest of the mountain view property sits a newly constructed 6100+ square foot woodsy mansion, a 3200 square foot guest home, a greenhouse, giant garage, and shop/storage building.

While drooling at the photos of this backwoods oasis, I started to wonder, "Where in Maine did they find such sweeping views of a giant river and mountain peaks?"

The answer is, Oregon. That's right, the state of Oregon. On the opposite side of the country from us. It's not even in Portland, so I'm not sure how it ended up in Maine's Real estate section of Craigslist, but there it is - getting up the hopes of all the Maine millionaires and real estate moguls looking for vacation properties in the northeast before DASHING them upon further inspection.
