Mystery Man Shows Up With Perfect Donation to South Portland Food Pantry
The South Portland Food Cupboard just had one thing to say, thank you!
Just like everywhere else in the world, food pantries have been dealing with supply shortages too. Only instead of not getting the hot toy, this Christmas, food pantry shortages might mean people don't eat.
He came at the right time with the right stuff. He didn't call ahead. He just picked up the right stuff from his heart, and there it was.
The executive director of the South Portland Food Cupboard, Dwayne Hopkins, told News Center Maine,

This one pantry alone gives out 13 tons of food each week. Grocery donations are down, and the staff has been worried about how to cover the holidays. That's when 'The Mystery Man' showed up. Dwayne told News Center Maine,
He came at the right time with the right stuff. He didn't call ahead. He just picked up the right stuff from his heart, and there it was.
Can openers? The pantry was the most excited about this thoughtful touch. Often people living in their cars or motel rooms don't have them. The pantry's Facebook page said it all!
This story was so kind, so unexpected and so needed Inside Edition actually picked it up!
