Jaw-Dropping Airshow Returns to Owl's Head, Maine This Weekend

One of Midcoast Maine's most popular event returns to Owl's Head this weekend, with vintage planes and legendary wheels.

This weekend is going to be absolutely epic, especially for aviation lovers.

What Will Be Featured at the Owl's Head Transportation Wings & Wheels Airshow This Year?

The Owl's Head Transportation Museum will be hosting the event from its popular location right next to the Knox County Airport.

The show has lined up plenty of entertaining events and displays, including World War II–era warbirds, aerobatic flying demonstrations by national acts, skydiving exhibitions, exhibitor car shows, vintage car rides, an open-air café, vehicle demos, and much more.

This is truly an aviation enthusiast's dream. It includes insane aerobatic flying and incredible historic planes like the iconic P-40 Warhawk, TBM-3E Avenger, P-51 Mustang, and Douglas C-47B “Skytrain,” visiting from the American Airpower Museum. This is a tremendous opportunity for aviation lovers and history buffs to get up and close to some of the most historic and important airplanes in American and world history.

...collect, preserve, exhibit and operate pre-1940 aircraft, ground vehicles, engines and related technologies significant to the evolution of transportation for the purpose of education.
