Even if you're like this writer and don't have that kind of cash lying around, it's always fascinating to observe how the other half lives. Whether it's a fancy interior, best of the best appliances, panoramic waterfront views, or extra amenities that reduce the reasons you'd ever have to leave (we're talking bowling alleys, arcades, theaters, spas, tennis courts, and more), it's always interesting to see how grand these homes are.

It's no secret that New England is one of the nation's costlier regions when it comes to home ownership. The most expensive properties on the market in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island are just that: EXPENSIVE. You'd really have to pony up if you wanted a shot at living in one of these homes, and most people unfortunately don't have the dough.

But that doesn't mean we can't peek inside.

Thanks to Zillow, we've gathered images of the most expensive houses on the market in each New England state as of August 1, 2023. All are absolutely stunning and unique in their own ways, and have a variety of amenities including gyms, saunas, tennis courts, private beaches, and of course, swimming pools. One of these homes is priced at a staggering $150,000,000. Talk about jaw-dropping.
