We are following up on a story we did here one week ago. It is wonderful to learn that it is fortunate news.

According to a Facebook post by the Oakland Maine Police Department, 29-year-old Janie Mullins "has been located."

The message also extends appreciation to all the good Maine people who assisted in getting the word out that she was missing.

We first reported her as a missing person on January 14 with these details from the Oakland Maine Police Department.

"The Oakland Police Department is trying to locate Janie Mullins, age 29. Janie is from Oakland and Sanford/Springvale area. She was last seen in Oakland on Thursday January 7th, and possibly in the Biddeford/Sanford area on Friday January 8th. Janie is possibly driving a Silver 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Maine plate 5287WK. There is concern for her well being. If you have any information please contact your local police department or the Oakland Police at 207-465-2202."

No further information has been released to us about where she was. We are certainly very happy to hear that she's been found and wish her, along with her family all the best.

It was very kind of the Oakland Police Department to thank everyone who helped track her down. Let us also recognize the fine service of the officers involved in protecting this young lady's well being. Thank you, OPD!
