We've been fans of Portland comic Ian Stuart for a few years now. Funny videos ranging from his Free Insults for Tourists late-night in the Old Port to to his Veggie Stoner cooking series have been featured here before.

Ian is also known for his video series, The Strainger where he tastes and reviews various Maine cannabis strains.

So it is very cool to see that he has a new comedy video series starting up now called "Welcome to Maine".

It is written, directed and edited by Ian and co-stars another local comedian, James Theberge. Our buddy (monster hunter) Bill Brock is behind the camera.

Here comes the first episode of "Welcome to Maine" from Ian as 'Mark' and James as 'Troy'.

They are coming to us from one of Maine's most popular places to get a selfie...The Portland Head Light.

These dubbahs are here to 'teach' tourists a bit of Vacationland history and give us some good belly chuckles in the process.

Going forward, the wicked funny fellahs plan to release a new "Welcome to Maine" video every week.

Upcoming locations they are hoping visit are The Desert of Maine, The Moxie Plant, The Lobster Pound, LL Bean and many of the other fun attractions and tourist destinations Maine has to offer.

Ian and James have performed together around the state in The Maine Comedy All Stars shows.

These days they can be found doing stand-up comedy for social distanced audiences at Stroudwater Distillery on Thompson's Point in Portland. The shows are on Thursdays at 7pm.
