Being such a small state, it’s pretty cool how often Maine is featured on television.

Whether it’s highlighting the state’s remarkable landscape, pristine coastline, or colorful population, Maine is also a bastion of bright light on the small screen.

However, nothing beats it when the state’s remarkable food scene is in the spotlight.

Maine's Food Scene Reputation Continues to Gain in Notoriety

It's tremendous when a restaurant or chef from Maine is featured. I don't know if it's the collective chip on Mainers' shoulders, but the level of proud can't be measured. Our restaurants and people are really just our children. And, when they make it big, well...we think we all do.

It is special, though. Maine has a tremendous food reputation. Portland has become very trendy over the last decade. Chefs from Maine have competed on hit shows like "Chopped" and "Top Chef." Even Biddeford was named one of the next best food cities in America. Maine is absolutely killing it.
