Sand & Sunshine: Get Ready For the Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival This Weekend
One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to go to the beaches and check out the sand sculptures. Many beaches in New England put on a sand sculpture festival. Recently, the Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival was announced for this year.
According to the International Sand Sculpting Festival, the Revere Beach Partnership will be celebrating the 18th Annual International Sand Sculpting Festival, hosted at Revere Beach, on Friday, July 22nd through Sunday, July 24th.
The festival is going to be hosted by the Revere Beach Partnership, a non-profit organization, and is a free event for all ages and is open to the public. Of course, if you choose to go, you will see sand sculptures, but there will also be live entertainment, fireworks, and food.
International Sand Sculpting Festival states that this year’s theme will be “Wonders of the World” and will feature amazing sand sculptures designed by world-class sculptors, food trucks, and food vendors with cuisines from around the world, live entertainment, and fireworks on Saturday night!
You can expect to see many sculptures along America’s first public beach, Revere Beach is 3 miles long. The Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival is one of the largest free events in Massachusetts. According to International Sand Sculpting Festival, over the course of three days, it is estimated that over 1 million people venture down the event boardwalk and take in the sculptures.
If you choose to go venture down the boardwalk or walk the sands of the beach on any of the festival days, it is important to know the hours that you can enjoy all the festivities.
Friday, July 22nd: 10 am – 10 pm
Saturday, July 23rd: 10 am – 10 pm
Sunday, July 24th: 10 am – 8 pm
The fireworks are only happening on Saturday night at 9 pm. However, this time could change depending on the weather. During the firework show, you can expect to hear synchronized music as the fireworks light up the night sky.
