Just as it seemed Maine was settling in nicely to a "normal" pattern of summertime weather, forecast models are promising a return of some of that big time heat we all endured through a large portion of July.

According to TropicalTidbits.com, the GFS model says Mother Nature will bring some power packed heat back to the northeast on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Those same places in southern and central Maine that scorched under the summer sun in July will once again feel the burn of upper 80's to low 90's on Monday.

Thankfully, the brutal heat is short lived, Tuesday will cool off slightly, giving most of southern and central Maine a solid summer day in the mid 80's before we all return to our regular scheduled "summer" in Maine, with mid-to-upper-70's for the remainder of the week.
