According to WGME, the New Hampshire SPCA has been financially overwhelmed by caring for 36 German Shepherds that are in protective custody at their shelter. Their owner faces charges of animal cruelty having allegedly abandoned them in open crates with frozen water in -11 degree temperatures.

The shelter has invested approximately $130,000 caring for the dogs, some have been in their care since December. They can not release the dogs for adoption until there is an outcome in the case.

Eleven more dogs were just surrendered. The New Hampshire SPCA S.O.S. fund is gone. There are zero funds left in their emergency account and they need our help. Any donation amount will be so appreciated.
