My name is Jeff and I have snow anxiety. Every time I see the threat of snow, so many things go through my mind. Will my snowblower start? Will I run out of gas? How buried with my mailbox be? Will I be able to get to work? Will there be bread at the grocery store?

I am not a fan of winter even though I've lived in Maine all my life and you may say like many others have, "If you don't like it, move." Valid point, but I absolutely love the three other seasons of the year in Maine and my family is here, so I do the best I can to deal with it.

That's not always easy though, especially when I see numbers like this that are forecasted for this weekend's storm. This is going to be a big one kids, so get your bread and milk now and strap yourselves in for the ride.

According to News Center Maine meteorologist Todd Gutner, we're talking double-digit snowfall, and for a change, the amounts are larger the closer you get to the coast rather than the closer you get to the mountains.

It's looking like at least 6 to 10 inches for everyone, but Todd's map has a snowline that runs pretty much right up the I-95 corridor. To the west of I-95, it's 6 to 10 inches and to the east of I-95, we're looking at 10 to 20 inches.

Now keep in mind that this storm is still three days out as of Wednesday morning and things can change. For those of you saying "I'll believe it when I see it," calm down. How good are you at predicting the future? Meteorologists are correct 90% of the time when forecasting 5 days out. You only notice that 10% when they're wrong.

The storm is on and I don't have to like it, but it is what it is. At least it's happening on the weekend. I'll probably just stay in bed until it's over.
