This Cumberland Farms In Portland Invented Its Gas Price And It’s Bonkers
If you passed by the Cumberland Farms on Washington Avenue in Portland yesterday, you may have noticed something strange about the gas prices. The location was either having a major signage malfunction, or they were rebelling against severely rising gas prices.
Shared on Twitter by WGME's Sam Read, the sign appears to say A3d as the price for a standard gallon of gasoline. We don't pretend to be rocket scientists here in the radio world, but that doesn't seem like a fair deal to us. We're fresh out of A notes. The sign has reportedly been fixed, and unfortunately, the prices haven't started to go down. Yet.
