Today’s Blimp Time-Hop
44 years ago, The Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd went to the number one spot in the US on April 28,1973. The album ended up appearing on the chart for a record breaking 741 weeks! Not in row but hey, that's pretty damn impressive. The Dark Side Of The Moon is likely to be in most every Blimpster’s album collection and has sold over 45 million copies all over the world. We've also got the great news that The Australian Pink Floyd is coming back to Portland! The show will be at the State Theatre on July 26th. If you missed Brit Floyd (who are also amazing...btw) earlier this month, here's another chance to experience the music of Pink Floyd in Maine.
Watch this magic final moment in Floyd history when Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason reunited on stage at 2005's Live 8 in London.
The Dark Side of the Moon was re-mastered and re-released on 180 gram vinyl last November. Check out all the cool stickers and posters in this un-boxing video!
