Tonight’s WBLM Mini-Concert
He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 15,1948. Growing up, he dreamed of being a boxer, a baseball player, and a stock car racer before falling in love with music and becoming a rock legend. If he were still alive today, Ronald Wayne Van Zant the legendary lead singer and songwriter for Lynyrd Skynyrd, would’ve turned 69.
We’ll remember “Ronnie” on his Birthday tonight at 6:20 with live (original line-up)Skynyrd on the WBLM Mini-Concert.
Here’s a great one minute video of Ronnie fishing and telling the story of the iconic song, Freebird.
