He was born Peter Dennis Blandford Townshend in West London on May 19, 1945. The legendary guitarist and songwriter for one the most influential bands in rock, ever...Happy Birthday to Pete Townshend of the Who! He joins the big 7-0 club this year with Eric Clapton and Bob Seger who also recently reached the milestone.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are currently on tour celebrating 50 years of the Who and Roger took a break last Thursday while Pete and Eddie Vedder did a benefit show in Chicago for teens with cancer.
