NASCAR driver Tony Stewart struck and killed a fellow race car driver on Saturday night after the driver crashed his car and tried to confront Stewart, according to ESPN.

The sports web site reported that sprint car driver Kevin Ward Jr. died from his injuries after he was struck by Stewart's car during at at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in New York. Stewart's manager Greg Zipadelli told ESPN that Stewart plans to race in Sunday's NASCAR race at Watkins Glen. A few hours later, Stewart announcced he would not participate in the race. Meanwhile, Stewart was not been charged in the accident and is fully cooperating with the police investigation.
