The Maine State Police never give up. Even when some cases go cold. Years later, information comes out that can help them solve a crime.

In this case, there are still looking into the unsolved homicide of Florence Lauze from 1975.

From the Maine State Police Facebook Page:

 On August 16, 1975, a father and son found a body inside a culvert in Sherman Lake in the town of Newcastle.
The body was that of 19-year-old Florence Lauze of Brockton, Massachusetts. It is believed that Florence may have been hitchhiking from Brockton to visit her father who lived in Damariscotta.
