WATCH: This Is Why You Don’t Get Too Close To A Maine Moose

By the looks of this video captured by Maine man in Van Buren, we can't always be so sure that a wild animal laying on the side of the road won't suddenly get up and start heading for ya.

According to the description on our friends from News Center Maine's YouTube channel,

"Joey Ouellette got charged by a young moose he thought was sick or injured."

 

We sure don't think Joey was expecting what happened next!  Fortunately the moose eventually decided to turn around a high-tail it away from him. Freakin' close one, guy! Next time maybe we just back away and leave 'em be.
