WMTW reports that Mainers who have been driving with an outdated vehicle registration because the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices have been closed, now have to update their registrations by July 11th. Same goes for expired driver's licenses.

A day at the D.M.V. is certainly not one of the things we've missed over the past few months, but it's time to take care of business again.

Rapid license renewal and vehicle registration are available online, which is super convenient, but not everyone has access. For folks who need to get it done in person, starting June 1st the Bureau of Motor Vehicles will open for appointments only. Call them to make a date.

Don't forget to register all of your summer toys; boats, trailers, motorcycles, motor homes, antique cars, campers and such all need a stickah'.

Along with motorcycles, I have to say that a true sign of summer to me is when the antique cars hit the road in Maine. They've been carefully covered all winter long; then brought out for a wash and shining to create a parade atmosphere wherever they go.

Do you have a summer toy that needs registering? What is it and can I have a ride? Comment on our Fan Page.
