Mainers Need To Make Sure Their Vehicles Are Legal This Week

Yep, the time has finally come to that take rectangular cardboard lettered and numbered in sharpie off and get some legal plates on instead. Or maybe you bought a new car in May and still have the temporary dealer ones.

It was a nice long run for many, but soon  Maine law enforcement I'm sure will be paying closer attention to your plates. This Saturday July 11 is the deadline for updating vehicle registrations.

Here's a friendly reminder from the Skowhegan Police Department on their Facebook page that includes some of the familiar magic marker artwork that was seen over the past few months.

Rapid Renewal is a great easy way to take care this since there's only a few days left before the deadline this weekend.

If that's not an option for you, the Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles is open by appointment only.
