Yup, it's that time of year again, Wedding Season! Along with the cost to your wallet, there's the "boom, boom le tete" to deal with. I've undergone an exhaustive search to find some sensible information about avoiding and dealing with hangovers. Wish I had written this post before the Pat Benatar show.

Let's start with the obvious of exercising a little impulse control, but depending on the situation, you may want to prepare for the worst!

  • Go one for one. One boozy, the next water, or even better coconut water or Gatorade.
  • Eat something! Preferably a burger. It's a night out's perfect meal of carbohydrates, protein and fat.
  • Skip bubbles.
  • Pop an extra multivitamin and take some Ibuprofen but NO aceteminophen, like Tylenol, it can seriously damage your kidneys if you take it with alcohol!
  • Smoking makes hangovers even worse, abstain.
  • Wash your hands super well to avoid becoming sick while your immune system is down.
  • Drink high-end. The top shelf stuff filters out more impurities and toxins which contribute to your hangover. Plus if your paying you might nurse that drink a bit longer.
  • Don't overdo it on the water. True, you want to be hydrated, but drinking a ton of water puts a lot of stress on your body. Have one or two glasses before you crash and leave one next to the bed for when you wake up.
  • The next day eat something and drink a Sprite, Fresca or Spritzer. Stay away from the herbal tea, it makes your body process the alcohol more slowly and drags out your suffering.
And now, a clip from one of my favorite wedding movies.

Be safe out there, and if you find yourself going through this routine often then get some help, K? I mean that.

You make me wanna shout
