Happy Record Store Day 2016!  Record Store Day was created in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners as a way to celebrate and spread the word about something we still hold near and dear to us on the Blimp...The Record Store. There will be RSD celebrations on every continent, except Antarctica. Not bad!

The celebrations in Maine will be with our great friends at Bull Moose. The Mayor of Record Store Day, Mr. Chris Brown gives you a preview:

There are all kinds of events going on. You can meet Graham Nash at the Bull Moose in Scarborough on Saturday. Or stream a Metallica show from a record store in California

The Blimp is going to do something for Record Store Day that no other radio station around will do. Actually PLAY RECORDS.  We’ve got thousands and thousands of LP’s in the Blimp Archives with a collection that we started in 1973 in the old trailer in Litchfield.
