At my house the first sign of mud season presented itself yesterday when our beautiful, freshly groomed Samoyed, Shayla May, ran into the house covered in mud from digging in the backyard. I don't bother looking for signs of spring until April. Face it, we have this ugly transitional half-season to deal with before the crocuses pop up.
