At my house the first sign of mud season presented itself yesterday when our beautiful, freshly groomed Samoyed, Shayla May, ran into the house covered in mud from digging in the backyard. I don't bother looking for signs of spring until April. Face it, we have this ugly transitional half-season to deal with before the crocuses pop up. What signs of mud season are you seeing?  Is your driveway an off roading adventure? Are your kids snow pants covered in mud instead of snow?

The fifth season is the hardest. Leave your muddy Bean boots on the mat,

Celeste
