It's been an emotional couple of weeks for fans of the Grateful Dead. The Fare Thee Well shows in Santa Clara, California (a site very close to where it all began in '65 with the Warlocks) and at Soldier Field in Chicago (where the last show with Jerry happened in '95). All this love and devotion created over the past 50 years between the band and the fans, has absolutely been mutual . That fact is beautifully shown in two videos released this week.

The first one is on behalf of the band from drummer, Mickey Hart. He acknowledges that "Without the fans, there would be no us." and features footage of Deadheads from all over Playing in the Band.

The second one is from the organization, Playing for Change with musicians from around the world all sharing a line in the song, Ripple.
