Here’s a Wicked Funny Maine Song for When You Are Stacking Wood
With a little bit a snow stickin', it's a reminder that another Maine winter is headed straight for us. We're all in for it, so why not have a laugh. These guys are great! They call themselves Flooded Cellar and they hail from beautiful Lovell over there on Route 5 in Oxford County.
In the summertime, the locals enjoy Kezar Lake. The rest of the year is spent either preparing for or enduring another Maine winter just like the rest of us.
This music video is a tribute to all the hardened Yankees who bust their asses getting the wood ready. It's called, Six Cords Shy of a Broken Back and it hilariously laments the "seven month haul" that is winter in Maine.
Us Mainers can totally relate and this video could only be done by Mainers. We debuted this on the WBLM Morning show last winter and decided it's too good not to bring back!
