I wish more people would consider those around them and the struggles each person may individually face. If everyone gave a little more and took a little less, this world would be a better place.

One 11-year-old Maine boy did just that. He thought more about those around him than himself, and honestly, it's a breath of fresh air.

According to WGME, 11-year-old Michael Ahern raised more than 31 thousand dollars for the Travis Mills Foundation. Back in 2019, at just 9 years old, Micheal started a non-profit organization to give back to veterans and their families.

Scoops for Troops was Micheal's starting ground, and his first monetary goal was only $400. Micheal being the kind-hearted and intelligent kid that he is knew that he was meant to keep helping. So, he didn't stop at $400, and he won't stop at 31 thousand dollars either.

The best part is all because of Michael's love for giving back; 8 families will be able to vacation at the Travis Mills Foundation at no cost to them.
