If you're not sick and are feeling cooped up, how about doing something super helpful next time you need to go out on an adventure?

Why not take a trip to the Elks Lodge in Portland to "give the gift of life"?

According to their Facebook page, you can donate blood on Wednesdays through June.  The address for Elks Lodge #188 is 1945 Congress Street Portland, Maine.

The Red Cross would love to see you if you are healthy, willing, and able. If you live in Greater Portland, hopefully can feel confident about going to one of the drives.

An important message on the American Red Cross of Northern New England Facebook page says that they are doing everything they can to make sure blood drives are safe.

"We should all be practicing social distancing, but it’s important to know that blood drives are not considered “mass gatherings” because they are controlled events with trained staff and appropriate safety measures to protect donors and recipients."
