“Flea for All” Find in Portland! [Pics]
A couple of weeks ago, I adventured over to the "Flea for All" on Kennebec St. in Portland with my girls Ronnie,Crystal and Emily. It was like discovering a dragon's cave of treasure! The first thing I saw was lots n' lots of vinyl!
Then I met this lovely lady named Patty. I bought some very cool vintage costume jewelry from her and loved her cheerful vibe!
I've been on the hunt for a cocktail shaker ever since experiencing the most fabulous cocktail at David's Opus Ten a while back. It's called the Nipsey Russell and it involves fresh tangerine juice, a good vanilla vodka and spicy ginger beer. I stumbled upon this hysterical shaker for a very reasonable $20.00!
Sometimes the prescription is more cow bell and sometimes it's more Nipsey Russell!
I took the time to read all of the warnings carefully, and then dropped it off at the check out desk so that I could continue shopping.
When I returned to the front, some dude was holding my shaker! I scrambled over to him, throwing elbows on my way and said, "Hey! Hey, that's my shaker! I'm buying that shaker!" He said, "I know I'm going to ring you up now." Oh. I kinda made a scene. Woops! Turns out that this nice guy is Sam. I apologized for almost tackling him. I checked out without further incident. Thanks, Sam!
After all that shopping we headed over to Margarita's at Union Station Plaza and had an unbelievably delicious lunch, complete with a shaker treat!
After perfecting David's Opus Ten's "Nipsey Russell", I will endeavor to recreate Margarita's "Lime in the Coconut Margarita"!
"Flea for All" is my new weekend drop-in spot. I'm also into Cliff's on Rt.1 in Scarborough. Where is your go to place for vintage and hand made stuff? Comment on our Fan Page, or tweet #localvintage
Shaken, not stirred!
