Here Might Be The Best Place To Find Good Hotel Deals in New England

If you are looking around for a hotel to stay for vacation, you might be a little late if you are looking to book a place at a reasonable price.  The minute the world opened up again after the pandemic, people rushed to book their favorite places.  Some speculate that it's because the state of the airlines is still in flux, so people opted to stay close to home.  Then there are our beloved tourists who come here every year and they have to make up for the year that wasn't.  So if you procrastinated at all or if you were just too busy working, you're gonna pay a buck or two.

It might surprise you to know that the highest-priced hotel is not in Portsmouth or Hampton, or even Rye.  It's in New Castle.

This Hotel Could Cost You Over $2K Per Night

The Wentworth By The Sea is a beautiful hotel, there is no argument there.  The grounds around the hotel are pristine, the restaurant is world-class and the views from every room are beautiful.  But this hotel room could cost you $2,219 for a one-night stay at the end of August at the time of this article.  Over 2 grand, one night..... Holy Moly.

Only Want To Spend a Grand?  Portland Maine Has You Covered

The Hilton Garden Inn Portland Downtown will run you a mere $908 for a one-night stay at the end of August.  This hotel is located in the Old Port and is convenient to all kinds of shopping and restaurants, so it is a great place to stay, but...  $908.  For one night.

Exeter Inn Seems Like a Bargain

The Hampton Inn & Suites in Exeter seems like a bargain for a mere $339 per night for the same time frame at the end of August.  If you're not from around here, you might not know that Exeter is not on the ocean.  It IS considered a Seacoast town, but it's approximately 10 - 15 minutes away from the sand and surf.

Not All Seacoast Hotels are by the Water

The Inn At Rye Place in Rye also seems like a bargain at $299 per night.  Considering that Rye is one of the "she-she-est" towns in all of New Hampshire.  What you might not realize, however, is that this place is on Route 1 in Rye and isn't beachfront.  The website does not mislead you, they show you exactly what the place is and it looks very nice, just be aware, it's not on the water.

Airbnb Might Be Your Best Bet

This is probably your best bet at this point if you are looking for a decent deal on a hotel.  Check out Airbnb.  From what I've seen, there are still some great deals that you can book that you won't have to break the bank in order to have a little fun in the sun.
